A keloid is a dense, thick tissue that usually arises from trauma such as cuts, piercings, or surgery. Keloids are often itchy, uncomfortable, and raised. Steroid injections to the keloid help relieve itching and discomfort as well as aid in flattening the lesion. It is very common for keloids to require more than one session for optimal results. Complete eradication warrants referral to a local surgical specialist.

Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, can occur on the palms of the hands, the soles of the feet, and the underarm areas. Neurotoxins, such as Xeomin, temporarily block the nerves that trigger sweat glands. Xeomin is the ideal neurotoxin for longterm use as it is double purified. Unlike others on the market, it has no additives or extra proteins that could lead to treatment resistance. Most patients prefer injections every 6-9 months to maintain results.
